Coffee is not just coffee! With this message from the Third Wave in the coffee scene, a broad public has acquired a taste for it.

For the best coffee, some are willilng to go the exrtra mile – to where others are experimenting with new recipes and refining their favourite drink.

What can procelain contribute to enhancing this moment of pure enjoyment? That's the question Schönwald asked when developing a new collection – and then found convincing answers with Coffee Tasting.

It all started with the idea of deciphering the COFEE CODE at the porcelain level.

What determines quality?
What does each individual recipe need to be at its best?

In the specially developed Coffee Code, the most important parameters and criteria were defined, which had a direct impact on the design of the cups and bowls.

The result was a collection that supports the barista's passionate care in preparing and serving in the best possible way.

With the Coffee Tasting collection, different thicknesses have now been added, which improve the required temperature retention properties for each recipe.

Moreover, the cups and bowls of the Coffee Tasting collection are not simply placed on top of the bottoms - rather, they are enclosed by them. Like a volcano, the saucer rises up which improves both handling during service and temperature-retaining properties.

Because hard porcelain is a poor conductor of heat due to its specific density, the temperature in the thick-walled cups and bowls is maintained for a long time.

The maximum capacity should not be exceeded. This is marked by an optionally available coffee tattoo - but more on that later ...

They keep the brew at the right temperature and promise a fragrant cloche effect.

They can also be used to turn bowls into containers for sugar, for example.

The inner contour of the cup has been designed with soft gradients. This ensures that the crema flows in well and is retained for a long time.
