Expanding coffee competence
You can, but you don't have to be an excellent barista to recognise the opportunities:Every new coffee recipe can also win over new fans.- And the better it is, the more so.
It all started with the idea of deciphering the COFEE CODE at the porcelain level.
What does each individual recipe need to be at its best?
In the specially developed Coffee Code, the most important parameters and criteria were defined, which had a direct impact on the design of the cups and bowls.
The result was a collection that supports the barista's passionate care in preparing and serving in the best possible way.
Let's start with the topic of temperature, which, after the essential questions of beans and cultivation, processing, roasting and trade, iscrucial for preparation:
Since the unfolding of certain aromas depends on the water's pressure and temperature, the question arises as to how the desired temperature can be maintained.Of course, only pre-heated cups and bowls are used.
For a low-volume Espresso, this question has a different impact than for a Flat White. Shard strength is important to keepthe Godshot at temperature.
Because hard porcelain is a poor conductor of heat due to its specific density, the temperature in the thick-walled cups and bowls is maintained for a long time.
The maximum capacity should not be exceeded. This is marked by an optionally available coffee tattoo - but more on that later ...
Lids made of porcelainare also part of the collection.
They can also be used to turn bowls into containers for sugar, for example.
Whether Espresso or Schümli:The perfect crema is what counts! Because better crema leads to a significantly better taste.
Sophisticated design features: Cups with crema protection
A design element that is barely visibly yet greatly influences the taste experience.
Being able to work true to a recipe is a central requirement fulfilled by the Coffee Tasting collection from Schönwald.
2 cups, 8 bowls, 1 mug, 2 glasses + 3 saucers plus lids:
The fluted structure nestles around the linear and reduced form. A visual accent is set here that calls out "Touch and Feel"The tactile design also makes handling easier for the service staff.
Glassescomplement the range in the same design language.
... or for a trendy Affogato ...– an Espresso with vanilla ice cream
... as well as for an Iced Vietnamese Coffeewhose clouds of milk are particularly accentuated in the glass.
As trendy as the trendy drink: the coffee tattoo asa stylish design element with functional properties. It provides information about the wall thickness, the bowl number of the collection and the maximum filling volume.
In addition, like a stamp for limited luxury articles, it gives the undecorated articles their special touch - and makes things easier for those who are just becoming familiar with high-end coffee.
The Coffee Tattoo is optionally available on the articles.
Apropos filling volume: Each recipe requires different capacities, which is another reason why the Coffee Tasting collection offers a large selection of shapes.
Those who celebrate filter coffee allowing it to make a comebackalso like to go the classic route when it comes to porcelain:
... and the aromas and flavours are given the time they need to unfold.
Milk foamon topis added to the Espresso Macchiato and, if you want to spoil your guests, you can serve water on the oval saucer.
The aromatic Caffè Lungo is also served in the thick-walled bowl- with the extra water (compared to the Espresso) already included. Due to the extended brewing time, more aromatic flavours are released, making it exactly the kind of enjoyment that Italian fans particularly appreciate.
Espresso PLUS This could also be true for the Cappuccino. The Espresso - plus the same amount of milk and milk foam - simply need a little more capacity in the bowl of the same shape.
Alternatively, if you want to serve the Cappuccino with its traditional foam, end with itjust above the rim of the mug.
If you know your Latte Art ...
And those who celebrateLatte Art for the Advanced
Evensweet temptationscan be perfectly staged in the Coffee Tasting collection from Schönwald.
or... the small breakfastthat complements the coffee. Here, the coffee bowl simply becomes one for the muesli.
On the trail of aroma:scent as a criterion for quality
Aseductive scent therefore enhances the taste experience. Reason enough for Schönwald to also pay special attention to the olfactory.
So, for Coffee Tasting, aNosing-Cup was also developed.
Invitation to the CuppingWhat wine tasting is for some, cupping is for others:
With the Coffee Tasting collection, Schönwald now invites you to a special form of cupping - to also identify and discover the changes in taste that come from coffee cups and drinking vessels.
The Cupping Bowl is suitable for certified Cup Tastings.
Not only pros like to learn new things:More and more guests are looking for high-quality coffee experiences, appreciate the skills of the barista and the charm of local micro-roasteries.
For baristas and coffee sommeliers, for coffee lovers and the novice.Anyone who wants to taste for themselves how the choice of cups changes and improves the coffee taste experience has plenty of reasons to get to know the new Coffee Tasting collection.
